"It is better to keep one's
mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and resolve
all doubt." - Abraham Lincoln
You can't get rid of, or avoid,
the things or the people that make you angry. Nor can you
change them. Therefore the goal of anger management is to
learn to control your reactions. Anger is a feeling; not a
behavior. If you feel you have trouble controlling your reactions,
see your school counselor. He/she may help you to come up
with ways to reduce both the emotional feelings and physiological
arousal (how your body reacts) that anger causes. Learning
to control your reactions to the things or the people that
make you angry is a neccessary skill for success in life,
both today and tomorrow!
