Cutting

'Cutting' is a form of self-injurious behavior (SIB). Individuals use SIB to deal with difficult or overwhelming emotions. This is an unhealthy way of regulating these emotions, and these individuals must learn healthier alternatives to deal with these emotions. If you're cutting, a counselor is available to work with you to develop better ways of dealing with these emotions.
