1.  Candy Man Event/Limo and Lunch- The main event for the Candy Man Fundraiser will be held on Monday, November 23. All students who sold 10 or more items will receive a ticket from their homeroom teachers that morning to participate in the Main Event. Any students who sold 35 or more items will be treated to a limo ride to Pizza Inn for lunch on that same day. Permission letters will be sent home today.  All permission letters should be returned by Thursday Nov.19 in order for your child to participate in the limo ride and lunch.

 

 

2. Health Science Academy- 8th grade students will hear presentations for the Health Science Academy during Science and Social Studies classes on Tuesday, November 24th. Applications for the academy will be available that day for students to pick up. Students will need to return completed applications to Mrs. Jeffries.

 

3. Beta Club Inductions-  Junior Beta Club Inductions will be held from 6-7 p.m. in the Media Center this Thursday, November 19th.  Members are asked to wear their Beta Club t-shirts OVER a collared shirt and arrive by 5:45 for special seating. New inductees are asked to wear dressy clothing and arrive by 5:40 to be placed in line.

                               No sneakers-No flip flops-No strapless-No shorts-Please! 

 

 

 

4. Thanksgiving Holiday- There will be NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, November 25th through Friday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! We will see you back at Hope Middle School on Monday, November 30th.

 

 

5. Art Fundraiser- Hope Middle School’s Art Department will begin a school wide fundraiser on December 2nd to raise money for Art Equipment. Parents and Students will have the opportunity to shop and taste test delicious foods and find the perfect holiday gifts! Representatives from Avon and Tastefully Simple will be here from 1:15-4:00. 100% of the net profits will go to Hope Middle School’s Art Department. The Art Department would like to use these funds to purchase potter’s wheels and metals/jewelry making equipment. For every order submitted student names will be placed in a raffle for a catered lunch for the student and their entire lunch table!
