From email sent to Mrs. Bramley regarding the PTA Reflections Contest:

"The website is as follows: www.ncpta.org go to the program tab and click on reflections there you will find the reflections handbook all forms need are in this book for you to reproduce. Your should not have to enter a user name and pass word. If PTA presidents or members are trying to access a members only part of the web page then it will prompt you for a user name and password. Active PTA members will have that information on the back of their PTA membership card.

Please refer to page 6 of the handbook in reference to visual art:  Any paper and canvas entries in the Visual Arts category will ONLY be accepted if mounted on a stiff and sturdy material, such as mat board, corrugated cardboard, or foam core board.  Construction paper and poster board are not acceptable materials.

􀂃 ALL VISUAL ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY entries must be wrapped in plastic wrap/plastic film.

􀂃 ALL VISUAL ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY entries: Place the original signed Student Entry Form and all other required forms in a

sheet protector and tape the sheet protector to the back of the artwork using masking tape. Also, you can refer to page 24 of the handbook visual arts checklist:

Presentation

All art must be flat and may not be more than 3/8 inch thick. This includes all two-dimensional materials and images, including small, flat items (such as string, fabric, and screening) that have maximum surface contact with the face of the image. Nothing three dimensional (noodles, beans, beads, boxes, etc.) may extend off the surface of a work. No art may exceed 24 inches by 30 inches, including a mat. Entries may be submitted on paper, canvas board, cardboard, hot or cold pressboard, or canvas (not to exceed 3/8-inch thickness). All paper or canvas entries mounted on sturdy cardboard mats (NO wooden, metal, plastic, or glass frames)

** State Requirement: Piece is wrapped in plastic wrap

State Requirements for the Student Entry Form for Photography and Visual Arts Entries ALL VISUAL ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY entries must be wrapped in plastic wrap/plastic film. This requirement is to protect the integrity, authenticity, and hard work of the student’s entry as well as protect it during judging. Entries travel several miles during the various levels of judging and without this protection, entries could be damaged. The plastic wrap is an inexpensive precaution for your student’s hard work. Plastic wrap/plastic film also referred to as “Clear-Lay” can be found at craft stores in varying sizes. If you have questions on where to find plastic wrap/plastic film, please contact the NCPTA Office at office@ncpta.org."
